When you make lasagna, do you use "Oven Ready" noodles, or the type that you need to cook separately before assembling the lasagna?
Oven-ready type
Cook-ahead type

You have to change the recipe to use them. That's the only problem. Apparently they're fine otherwise.
You also have to make sure every bit of noodle is covered otherwise the exposed bits will be unedible.
Never heard of oven ready noodles
They're a German invention.
How much time is one really saving for a product that sounds inferior?
Will fuck off, again.
Forget the noodle controversy. What I want to know is how many of you eat your lasagna hot, like savages, and how many let it cool and set like proper gentlemen?

Try for 20 minutes at least. Usually take it out, then eat salad and then lasagna time
Dude, take it out, make the salad, pour the wine, eat the salad, clear dishes, then serve the lasagna.

Premade from Lina’s Italian Market. Yum.
It’s no Costco brand but we love it.
I like neat cars.
we ate a bunch of it when it was on sale. Such a good deal when it is.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Started making our own pasta, so oven ready now.
Current vote is 8-4 for oven ready.

Wait, homemade isn't really what I mean by "oven ready". Maybe I needed a third option? This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

People got me interested on here so I picked up a couple Costco lasagnas for easy weeknight meals, easily 3 full meals for me and the wife.
I added a bit of a personal touch to it with some added Parmesan and some bocconcini on top since I thought the mozzarella was a bit lacking. Ran a bit of broil for a couple minutes to help the cheese set. Deadly good lasagna, and sub 3 bucks a meal. Not bad.

Excellent value, and not bad for store bought. Not as good as mine, even with the oven ready noodles.
